Development trend of powder coating industry

Trend 1: Coating and coating integration

“Three parts coating, seven parts coating” has become a consensus. Coating companies bring powder materials, equipment, and processes to customer sites and deliver finished films by square meters. Customers only supervise but do not construct. This model is rapidly penetrating into engineering machinery, containers and other fields.

Trend 2: Composite coating

“Multi-coating synergy” such as electrophoresis + powder, powder + water-based makes up for the shortcomings of single coating. The salt spray life exceeds 1,000 hours and the VOC is close to zero. It has been implemented in batches in high-end scenes such as special vehicle chassis, MDF furniture, and photovoltaic brackets, becoming the fastest channel for “paint to powder”.

Trend 3: Upgrading supporting industrial chains

The upstream accelerates the cost reduction and expansion of low-toxic curing agents and domestic fluorocarbon resins; the downstream simultaneously promotes chromium-free passivation, high-speed electrostatic powder spraying, fast curing furnaces and precise temperature control. The entire industrial chain is upgraded at the same frequency to release the full performance potential of powder coatings.

Trend 4: New materials and new technologies

Polyester/epoxy profits have hit bottom, and the industry urgently needs high-performance new film-forming materials such as acrylic acid, polyurethane, fluorocarbon, and silicone resin, supplemented by low-temperature curing, AI color matching, and online thickness measurement technology to open up incremental space for high-end applications.

Trend 5: Green source substitution

"Paint to powder" and "water to powder" are unstoppable under the high pressure of environmental protection. Powder coatings need to continue to reduce costs, cure at low temperatures, and cure quickly, and fully enter the ten major fields of engineering machinery, energy storage, photovoltaics, and automobiles, achieving zero VOCs throughout the process, so that green coatings can benefit thousands of industries.

Our mission is to make green powder coating accessible to all industries!
