Wide range of applications in the construction industry
The construction materials market is a key application market for powder coatings. Powder coatings have great potential and capacity in the construction materials market due to their outstanding durability, corrosion resistance and decorative properties. Powder coating in the construction materials industry are widely used in commercial and residential projects, and can also be used to protect aluminum facades, curtain wall frames and window frames.
The largest application area of powder coatings in the construction and building materials market is powder coatings for aluminum building materials, such as aluminum frames, doors and windows, balconies, corridors, partition boards, curtain walls and other aluminum building materials with high corrosion resistance requirements. It can also be used in the decorative coating of heat-sensitive non-metallic building materials such as wood and plastic in the construction and building materials market. And the powder coatings are also used in seats in outdoor stadiums and other outdoor occasions to replace coatings that are easily degraded due to ultraviolet radiation. They are also widely used in facilities in highways and construction projects, such as lamp posts, guardrails, signs, poles, guardrails, etc. At the same time, powder coatings can also replace chrome and copper plating and be used on alloy frames.

As the number of new projects in the construction and building materials industry gradually decreases, the amount of powder used in aluminum profiles and aluminum veneers has shown negative growth for two consecutive years. New materials and new processes are constantly being developed to find new application areas. Renovation of old houses and reconstruction of old cities will breed new growth points for powder coating. In 2021, the sales volume of powder coatings in China's construction and building materials industry will be about 740,000 tons, 680,000 tons in 2022, and 620,000 tons in 2023.
